Honda Accord Sedan (2008-2011)
The Honda Accord is a mid-size car by the Japanese automaker Honda. The eighth generation was released in the summer of 2008 in the German market.
This is again a four-door sedan and a five-door estate ( " touring "); in North America in addition a two-door coupe version is offered. The design is similar to the previous model. In Japan, the U.S. version of the Accord is marketed as the Honda Inspire in order to obtain a separation from the smaller Accord from local production.
The model was first seen in March 2008 at the Geneva Motor Show and goes back to the draft study " Accord Tourer Concept ', which has been shown already in September 2007 at the IAA. The coupe version for the American market was introduced in the same year at the auto show in Detroit.
The official sales began in Germany for the sedan on 7 June 2008 and on 6 September 2008 for the wagon. The coupe is available since September 12, 2007 in North America.
The eighth -generation Accord became clear in length and width, in height slightly greater. The station wagon is slightly longer and taller than its predecessor, with the same width.
In Germany, since the start of sales for both the sedan and the station wagon, which bears the name " Tourer ", optional three engines available: two petrol engines and one diesel engine. The engine range corresponds to the previous model, the units are equipped with the corresponding optimization measures more power.
The eighth generation is offered in three trim levels: As Comfort (only 2.0), Elegance ( 2.0, 2.2 i -DTEC ) and Executive, which can be combined with all engines.

Facelift
At the Geneva Motor Show, a revised model of the Accord was presented in March 2011, which came on the market in April.
