The motorcycle Honda XL 185 S is a Japanese Enduro from Honda, which was built in the years 1979-1999
Model history
Scrambler were common in the 1960s. These are street bikes with elevated seating position, the off-road capability was improved by deep-treaded tires and higher exhaust down a bit. In the late 1960s Honda put on a series of SL models, which ushered in the transition from Srambler for Enduro. for example: Honda SL 90 ( 1969); Honda SL 175 (1970-1972); Honda SL 70 ( 1971-74 ), 1974 renamed XL 70 ( -1977 )

Others
The XL 185 S had a 6- V power supply, which can, however, be relatively easily converted to 12V. But only need all the lights and the flasher relay to be replaced by 6 V in 12 V for models before 1981. In models 1981ff it is somewhat more complex, since these have a 6 -V rectifier. The engine was also available as a 125 cc version and with a little more power (18 hp) in the XR 185 in a slightly different form, this engine is still (as of 2012) built in some Chinese licenses ( Zongshen, Lifan ).
