Türkisnaschvogel ( Cyanerpes cyaneus )

The Turquoise Birds ( Cyanerpes ), also known as sugar birds, are a genus colorful iridescent, belonging to the tanagers birds that are native to the rain forests of the Neotropics from Central to South America. The males are bright turquoise blue usually, the females green. Turquoise birds feed on nectar and are perfectly adapted to their long beaks to the host flowers.

  • Türkisnaschvogel, Rotfußhonigsauger - Cyanerpes cyaneus (Linnaeus 1766 )
  • Azurnaschvogel - Cyanerpes lucidus ( Sclater & Salvin 1859)
  • Pink-footed Naschvogel, pink-footed honeysuckers - Cyanerpes nitidus ( Hartlaub, 1847)
