Hong Kong Baptist University

The Hong Kong Baptist University ( HKBU, Chinese香港 浸 会 大学, Pinyin Xiānggǎng Jinhui Daxue ) was founded in 1956 by the Baptist Convention of Hong Kong with the support of American Baptists and is the second oldest university in Hong Kong. Until 1994 the name of the University of Hong Kong Baptist College was. The University is located in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. The HKBU is one of the eight universities in Hong Kong.

The library is located on the Shaw campus. The main library serves the whole HKBU staff and students, and is spread over seven floors of the building. Of particular importance are the archives of Christian history in China and the Chinese contemporary research collection.

The President is Ng Ching -fai.
