Hong Kong English

As a Hong Kong English is a variety of the English language is sometimes referred to, which is spoken by Hong Kong residents with Chinese ancestry.

Since the occupation of Hong Kong 's Peninsula by the British colonial power in 1841 and the consequent following successive Anglicization of the population, a Sino embossed style of English language has been developed which became known as the Hong Kong -English soon.

This dialect is characterized by an excessive emphasis on the final syllable. For example, the word paper (English paper) is incorrectly stressed on the second of the two syllables.
