Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens

The Zoological and Botanical Gardens Hong Kong (Chinese香港 动植物 公园, Cantonese Heung1 gong2 dung6 jik6 MAT6 gung1 yun4, English Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens ) is located in the jungle homes of Hong Kong on Hong Kong Iceland.

At just under six acres live about 600 birds and 100 mammal and reptile species whose enclosure is surrounded by tropical plants such as palm trees and banana trees. For livestock belong exclusively to species in the tropical latitudes of the Earth at home.

Main attractions of the garden, founded in 1871 orangutans, gibbons and Katta. Furthermore, inter alia, various marmoset species of South American and Malagasy lemurs can be seen ( prosimians ). Reptiles are represented by snakes alongside the rare Chinese alligators.
