Reactors under construction ( gross ):

The nuclear power plant is located in Hongyanhe Hongyanhe, Donggang, Wafangdian, Dalian, Liaoning Province in the People's Republic of China. There are planned in the first phase four reactors of the type CPR -1000 (Chinese Pressurized Reactor ). With the construction of the first reactor was started in August 2007, in June 2013, the reactor took up the commercial operation. The second block is to begin operation in August 2013 and the remaining two reactors are to follow in 2014. In a second phase, another two reactor units of type CPR -1000 are provided.

The reactor type CPR -1000 is a Chinese pressurized water reactor.

Reactor units

Block 1 has began commercial operation on June 6, 2013 Block 2 in August 2013. Recording of commercial operation of Hongyanhe -3 and 4 to take place in 2014. The construction costs for the four initially planned blocks is estimated at around 7 billion U.S. dollars. The first two reactors should jointly provide 2,160 MWe power, the four planned reactors a total of 4,240 MW.
