Honington is a place in the north of the county of Suffolk, which lies on the river Blackbourn. The village is located approximately nine miles north of Bury St Edmunds and is located about 6.5 miles south east of Thetford. In Census 2001 1.247 inhabitants were counted.

Nearby is the former airfield of the Royal Air Force RAF Honington, which opened on 3 May 1937. Military operations was set in 1994.
