Hönö

Hönö is a place ( tätort ) and the southernmost island in the archipelago before Gothenburg, which belongs to the municipality Öckerö. It lies in the county of Västra Götaland County and the historic province of Bohuslän. Across the bridge is connected to the island Öckerö. A car ferry runs every twenty minutes by the clock Hjuvik peninsula to Hönö.

On Hönö there are three ports, Klåva, Röd and Heden. The largest of the ports Klåva, is home port to some fishing boats. There is also a fishing museum. In the area Heden is a historic windmill.
