Honorino Landa

Honorino Landa Vera ( born June 1, 1942 in Puerto Natales, † May 30, 1987 in Santiago) was a Chilean football player, who participated with the national team of his native country at the World Championships in 1962 and 1966.

Career

Honorino Landa began his professional career in 1959 with the club Unión Española from Santiago de Chile. After six years at Unión Española he went on to CD Green Cross, a club which had its home in the southern Chilean city of Temuco. He was one of the few Chilean football players who did not earn their money in the country's capital. During his time in Temuco Landa was División with the provincial association third twice in the Chilean Primera and missed just slightly in both cases, participation in the Copa Libertadores, participate in getting the two best teams of the last season.
