The cap Vulture ( Necrosyrtes monachus ) is a bird of prey in the family Accipitridae, and the only representative of its genus.

Description

The cap vulture is a relatively small, about 60 cm large vulture with a uniform dark plumage and a main pink featherless head with gray dunenbefederter back. Its wingspan is 155-170 cm. The bird is widespread in Africa south and west of the Sahara, with the exception of the tropical rain forest and the extreme south of the continent. It breeds throughout the year.
