Geography

The municipality borders the Hopferau Hopfensee ( west bank ) and is around 10 km from the city center of Füssen and Pfronten.

There is only the district Hopferau with the hamlet of Dornach.

History

Hopferau was before 1800 seat of the Upper and Lower Court of the reign of the same name and was one of the Barons Freyberg - Hopferau.
