Hornstorf
Hornstorf is a municipality in the northeast of the county Northwest in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Neuburg, located in the municipality of the same name.
Geography
The municipality is bordered to the west Hornstorf directly to the Hanseatic city of Wismar and is about five kilometers from the Bay of Wismar.
To Hornstorf include the districts Kritzow, Rohlstorf and Rüggow.
History
Hornstorf 1282 (then as Hornestorp ) was first mentioned in a document.
With the 1648 Treaty of Westphalia Rüggow became Swedish with the Office of New Monastery, the rule of Wismar Mecklenburg and the part of the island of Poel. It was not until 1903, 100 years after the pledge agreement from 1803 Malmö, Sweden renounced the redemption of this contract, and the town fell back to Mecklenburg.
1883 was the municipality with the Wismar -Rostock route a railway connection. Four years later a branch line from Karow on New Monastery and Goldberg; the latter is now closed.
The typical farms at the Sweden ski jump originated in the time of Aufsiedlung the 1930s.
In Rüggow until the turn of the radio intelligence center Nord ( Northern Fuaz ) of the NVA was stationed.

- Brick church of St. Lawrence from the second half of the 14th century with a square western tower, which was probably cultivated in the 15th century
Economy and infrastructure
Significant for the community is the 34 -acre industrial park near the motorway junction Wismar. Here, many companies have settled who created several hundred jobs.
Transport links
On Hornstorf Station, on the Wismar -Rostock hourly keeps the Regional Express DB Regio AG. With the line 201 of the Busbetriebe Wismar, there is also the hamlet Kritzow from a direct connection to Blankenberg ( Meckl ) Station, on the Rostock- Schwerin ( Hamburg ).
