Horodnia

Horodnja (Ukrainian Городня; Russian Городня / Gorodnja ) is a city in Chernihiv Oblast of Ukraine, and the center of the same name Rajons with 14,000 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2005). Administratively, including the three villages Aloschynske ( Альошинське ) Woksal - Horodnja ( Вокзал - Городня ) and Pavlo - Iwaniwske ( Павло - Іванівське ) and the settlement Jasseniwka ( Ясенівка ) for the borough.

History

The settlement was founded in the mid 16th century. 1957 Horodnja received the status of the city.
