Horsham (Victoria)

Horsham is a town of about 14,000 inhabitants in the Australian state of Victoria. Horsham is located 300 kilometers north- west of Melbourne and is the seat of the administrative area ( LGA) Rural City of Horsham. It is located at the intersection of Western, Wimmera and Henty Highway north- west of the renowned Grampians National Park.

Horsham was founded in the late 1840s. The first settlers were James Monckton Darlot and Charles Carter. The first post office opened on 1 July 1848.

In 2001, Horsham was voted the cleanest city in Australia.
