Horst Bernhardt

Horst Bernhardt ( born January 26, 1951 in Leipzig ) is a former German world champions in bobsleigh, who competed for East Germany.

Horst Bernhardt began as a brakeman at Horst Schönau. At the Olympic Games 1976 in Innsbruck Schönau, Bernhardt, Harald Seifert and Raimund Bethge drove in four-man bobsleigh to fourth place. When Bobweltmeisterschaft 1978 in Lake Placid Bethge was no longer in Schönaus Bob here, he was switched to Meinhard taker. Horst Schönau drew the Bob in the occupation of Schönau, Bernhardt, Seifert and Bogdan Musiol to the world title. At the European Championships 1978, Bob won the bronze medal in the same cast behind the Bob the Austrian Fritz Sperling and behind Meinhard taker.
