Horti Liciniani

The Horti Liciniani (rarely also German: Licinian gardens ) were a group of gardens in ancient Rome, who were in possession of the assets Licinia. In the 3rd century they were the property of the Emperor Gallienus, himself a Licinii over. The location of the gardens is not known. However, it closes due to extensive activities of Gallienus in the environment of the Esquiline that the gardens could have been located there. So he left a colossal statue of his erect itself on the top of the hill. The palatium Licinianum was there near the church of Santa Bibiana. A Galliensbogen stood at the porta Esquilina. The complex of gardens Licinian possibly belonged to the earlier mentioned as the Temple of Minerva Medica Nymphaeum.
