Hosny Abd Rabo

Hosni Abd- Rabou (Arabic: حسني عبد ربه, DMG Hosni ʿ Abd Rabbuh; born November 1, 1984 in Ismaïlia ) is an Egyptian football player and currently as a defensive midfielder for Ismaily SC in the Egyptian national team as well as active.

Club career

Abd- Rabou began his professional career in Egypt at Ismaily SC and was one of the youngest players in the 2001/ 02 season as Ismaily won the Egyptian Cup. In 2003, he was with the club in the final of the CAF Champions League, but lost to the Nigerian club Enyimba FC in addition to 1:2. The following year he reached the finals of the Arab Champions League, but again could not win the final. The Tunisian representative CS Sfaxien prevailed 4-3 on penalties.

In summer 2005, Abd- Rabou signed with the French first division side Racing Strasbourg a five -year contract. He came in his first season to 22 inserts, but could not prevent the descent of the club in Ligue 2.

Already in the following season he played on loan again at his hometown club Ismaily SC. In the summer of 2010, he announced his move to Al -Ahli in the UAE.

National team career

In 2003 he was appointed coach Hassan Shehata of selection in the Egyptian U20 selection to participate in the Junior World Championship 2003 in the United Arab Emirates. Egypt could rely after a victory over the English youth team qualify for the knockout stages, where you defeated Argentina by a golden goal after 110 minutes 1:2. In the technical report of the tournament Abd- Rabou was highlighted as one of the outstanding players of his team.

2006 Abd- Rabou was appointed to the Egyptian national team to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations on home soil. A week before the tournament he was injured and thus missed the tournament triumph of his country. In the African Cup of 2008, however, he was continental champions Egypt. He scored four goals during the tournament, including two elected at the opening game against Cameroon, and was voted the best player of the tournament.
