Hospital at the End of the City

The hospital on the outskirts of the city ( Original title: Nemocnice na kraji města ) is a Czechoslovakian doctor series, which was also broadcast on German television. Directed by Jaroslav Dudek, the scripts came from Jaroslav Dietl. Overall, the series was broadcast in 21 countries. The versions in East and West Germany differed in cutting sequence and synchronization. In the ARD, the first season aired in the GDR and the second in a BRD - dubbed version.

Are told stories about an orthopedic ward at the edge of the fictional town of Bor It is not just about the surgery, but also the personal problems of the doctors, nurses and patients. As a template for the hospital building served the Hospital of the Czech town of Most circuit. The hospital was rebuilt in the Prague Barrandov film studios.

2003, a sequel titled The hospital was on the edge of town - aired 20 years later. 2008, a further continuation of the series was shot with 13 episodes.
