Hossein Baghernejad

Hossein Baghernejad ( born June 1, 1942 in Tehran / Iran ) is a German structural engineer, architect and professor of Iranian descent. He teaches at the University of Darmstadt.

Life and work

Hossein Baghernejad is the son of the Iranian architect Ghassem Baghernejad and studied in the 1960s at the Technical University of Darmstadt (now Technical University of Darmstadt ) Civil Engineering. After assistant positions at the university and PhD with Professors Otto Jungbluth and Wolfhart Uhlmann Dr.- Ing. Baghernejad worked as a test engineer in Hesse and received by the professional body for its activities an unlimited plan template authorization as an architect. In 1990 he founded his own engineering company and went back to teaching the sciences. In the early 1990s he taught at the former University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt, before he was appointed Honorary Professor by the Hessian Minister of Science, due to " special performance at the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in professional practice ." Hossein Baghernejad represents today at the University of Darmstadt in the major field of study structural engineering and structural plasticity of the subjects. His most important scientific achievement are working in the field of load method, whose basic principles he developed in 1976.
