Hot-Springs-Nationalpark

The Hot Springs National Park is a U.S. National Park in the state of Arkansas at the edge of the town of Hot Springs and the Ouachita Mountains. In the park there are several hot springs (English Hot Springs ).

Already on 20 April 1832, the sources were made ​​available to the public through an act of parliament as Hot Springs Preserve. It was not to get the hot springs in their natural environment, but to provide hot water for the population available to the target. The spring water flows on the western slope down the mountain Hot Spring Mountain and is collected in tanks. Since 1983, stands on the Hot Spring a lookout tower, the Hot Spring Mountain Tower. The reserve also includes the water cycle from which the sources are fed. Since 1921, the area is a National Park.

The hot water was said to have healing properties and has been used for therapeutic purposes. From far people have come to the hot springs. Even today, you can bathe in the spring water. The old bath houses are listed buildings ( National Historic Landmark ).
