Hotel Ibis

Ibis (proper spelling: ibis ) is a hotel chain of the Accor group in the 2- star category. It is represented with around 900 stores worldwide, but mainly in Europe, especially in France. The Ibis hotels are located with respect to the standards between brands Accor Mercure and ibis budget. The first Ibis hotel opened in Bordeaux in 1974.

Location and facilities

Ibis hotels are mostly located in the city center or in the outskirts, Near Train Station, Near Highway or commercial areas. Typically, they are equipped with a bar, some hotels also equipped with a restaurant.

The rooms are mostly small double, rarely triple, with private bathroom ( shower and toilet) and TV, desk and wardrobe. The color scheme of the hotel (floors, ceilings) has been the color of the Ibis logo equalized. Currently Ibis, however, leads gradually to a new room design one that does not follow this principle. Here now dominate rather bright, restrained colors of wood, a flat screen TV on the wall opposite the bed replaces the previous TV and in place of the carpet enters a laminate floor. Overall, the fittings of the rooms is simple but modern. The furniture is the same in all Ibis hotels, only the pictures on the wall are different.

There are in the restaurants an early riser ( 04:00 to 06:30 ), a buffet ( 6:30 to 10:00 on weekends and public holidays until 11:00), and a late breakfast (10:00 and 11: 00-12:00 ). Ibis hotels are often bed and breakfast hotels, where there is no lunch and evening meals. It will round the clock snacks prepared that you can take back to your room.
