House of Strangers

Blood enmity ( in the original House of Strangers ) is a film drama directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz from the year 1949. The screenplay is based on the novel I'll Never Go There Any More by Jerome Weidman. The premiere took place in Germany on 5 December 1950.

Action

Gino Monetti, an American of Italian descent, is a ruthless criminal banker. His family suffers from its terror and ruthlessness. For his machinations he goes to jail. Three of his four sons, Joe, Peter and Tony, who hate their father, refusing to get him back from prison out. You assume instead his bank and its shops. In contrast, the fourth son, Max, a professional lawyer tries to help his father.
