House of Windsor

The House of Windsor [ wɪnzə ] ( until 1917 Saxe -Coburg Gotha and ) is the British royal family. Because of domestic political pressure during the First World War because of German descent and kinship of the royal family with the German Empire changed King George V on 17 July 1917, the German name Saxe-Coburg -Gotha ( from the House of Saxe -Coburg and Gotha originating ) the family in the UK since 1840 was, in the present name of Windsor.
