Households Party (Iceland)

The Flokkur Heimilanna ( German: Party housekeepers, short FH, party letter I ) is a small party in Iceland.

History

The party was founded by the merger of eight small parties in April 2013, shortly before the upcoming parliamentary election. Party chairman was Pétur Gunnlaugsson.

In the parliamentary election in 2013 the party took around three percent of the vote. Thus, they failed due to the five-percent hurdle and could send no representatives to the national parliament Althingi.

Program

  • The tax system should be simplified and the tax shall be progressively reduced
  • The country's own natural resources should be better protected
