Hovet (former name Johanneshovs Isstadion ) is a multi-purpose arena in Stockholm, Sweden. In addition to the home games of the Hockey Teams AIK and Hammarby IF Ishockey especially concerts and other major events are held in the arena. In addition, the normally in Ericsson Globe gambling Djurgårdens IF and AIK fourth-rate Skarpnäck some of their home games wear out in Hovet. At hockey games, the official capacity of 8,300 seats, at concerts for up to 9,800 spectators in the arena space.

History

The stadium was opened on November 4, 1955 with a match between Sweden and Norway, which won the home team 7-2. For the Hockey World Cup 1963, the arena was covered, in 2002 there was a major renovation with the replacement of seats as well as the cultivation of a restaurant area.
