How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying is a Pulitzer Prize - award-winning musical with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser singing. The book is by Abe Burrows, after the dramatic adaptation of Willie Gilbert and Jack Weinstock a novel of the same name ( German title: How to make career Business Without Really Trying ) by Shepherd Mead.

The show was produced by Cy Feuer and Ernest Martin in collaboration with Frank Loesser production company; the film is directed by Abe Burrows; the choreography was worked out mainly by Bob Fosse. The premiere took place on 14 October 1961 at the 46th Street Theatre in New York. With 1417 performances, the musical was a huge success.

The opening in the West End was on 28 March 1963 at the Shaftesbury Theatre; the musical was performed there 520 times.
