HP-32S

The HP -32S and its successor HP 32SII are technically - programmable scientific calculator from Hewlett -Packard, which were 1988-2002 (HP -32S from 1988 to 1991 and HP 32SII 1991-2002 ) on the market. Both devices are available in terms of functionality and external appearance in a long line of non- graphical calculator, which was founded in 1972 with the HP- 35. After the expiry of the HP 32SII and a five -year hiatus, the tradition was continued with the anniversary device HP 35s 2007.

HP -32S

The HP -32S is its predecessor operated as in Reverse Polish Notation (RPN ). Although the unit was charged with 70 USD discount cheap compared to other HP calculators, it had a variety of functions:

The calculator has 390 bytes of memory, which, however, soon exhausted itself in the filing of some variables (8 bytes per -used variable) and programs (1.5 bytes per line of code ). During the HP- 34C was only able to solve equations of the type, it is the HP -32S for the first time possible to determine the zeros of UPN - defined functions of several variables with respect to the individual arguments.

The supply takes place as with the similarly constructed types 20S and 42S three button cells of the type LR- 44th There are no extensions provided and installed no interfaces. The computer case is sealed and can not be opened without damage.

An anniversary edition of the 50th anniversary of HP with a golden lettering was sold only to shareholders and employees. It is functionally identical.

HP 32SII

The successor HP 32SII had a second shift key, roll-up, unit conversions and the ability to directly enter fractions and to calculate with this. What was new was also of algebraic input mode for formulas, which allows you to enter functions in the usual notation, in order to evaluate them afterwards to solve as an equation for a variable or to integrate numerically. Unfortunately, the available space compared to the previous model was not extended.

Due to their robustness and ease of use both computers are popular and sought after even in used condition.
