Hrachik Javakhyan

Hratschik Jawachjan ( armen. Հրաչիկ Ջավախյան, born July 6, 1984 in Kirowakan, Armenian SSR, Soviet Union) is an Armenian boxer. He won a bronze medal in the lightweight at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Career

From Hratschik Jawachjan is known except his birth, that he came from Armenia and began as a teenager with the boxes. In 2005, he reached for the first time in the Boxgeschehen at an international championship, which was the same at the World Championships in Mianyang. He lost there, however, like his first fight against Ibrahim Kamal from Canada and thus retired. Together with all the losers his lap, he finished in 33rd place.

In 2006 he first started out in two major European Boxturnieren, the 50th Bocskai Memorial in Budapest and Feliks strain Memorial in Warsaw. He gained valuable international experience at these tournaments. The first success was then already at the European Championships this year in Plovdiv. He defeated among others there the strong Poland Krzysztof Szot and Vazgen Safarjants from Belarus on points and was thus in the final against the Russians Alexei Tishchenko. Tishchenko retained in this final clear the upper hand. For Hratschik Jawachjan of winning the European silver medal, however, was a great success.

In 2007 he fought in Issy -les -Moulineaux in the framework of the country struggle Armenia against France against Alexis Vastine and subject to that by points ( 26:39 ). In October of that year he took part in the World Championships in Chicago. He won there three fights, defeating, among others the great American hope Sadam Ali on points ( 20:16 ). In the quarterfinals, he lost against Domenico Valentino, however, from Italy to points ( 12:27 ) and got away with it on the 5th Place. This place he had also the right to start for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing won.

2008 won Hratschik Jawachjan bim Feliks strain Memorial in Warsaw, the competition in the light welterweight. In the final he defeated Evgeny Romaschkewitsch this from Belarus on points. Well prepared, he then walked into the boxing tournament at the Olympic Games in Beijing. He won there over Rasheed Olawale Lawal from Nigeria on points (12-0 ) and came to a noncombat victory over the South Korean Jong Sub - baik. In the semifinals he met again on Alexei Tishchenko, where he was defeated again by points ( 5:10 ). By reaching the semi-final he had already won an Olympic bronze medal.

At the 2009 World Championships in Milan Hratschik Jawachjan won first Simeon Bunardschijew, Bulgaria convincingly on points ( 11:1 ), but suffered in the second round a surprising point defeat against Everton Lopez of Brazil ( 3:10 ) and longer belonged to. In the final account, he took along with all his losers round the 17th Place.

At the European Championships 2010 in Moscow suggested Hratschik Jawachjan Alex Vasiljew, Finland ( 11:2 ), Gheorghiu Popescu, Romania ( 9:3 ), David Mueller, Germany ( 5:3 ), Alexander Kljutschko, Ukraine ( 5:1) and Gyula Kate, Hungary ( 3-2 ) on points and became European Champion. He had particularly in the battles against David Mueller and Gyula Kate show his skills to win these battles scarce.

2011 different Jawachjan at the European Championships at the quarter- final against Tom Stalker, England ( 13:10 ) from. The world championships in the same year ended for him in in the first round.
