Hroar Stjernen

Hroar ​​Stjernen ( born February 11, 1961 in Beitstad ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper and today's ski jumping official.

Career

Stjernen took from 1984 to 1989 in international competitions. His only World Cup victory he achieved in 1985 in Bischofshofen. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1987 in Oberstdorf, he won the silver medal with the team and was fourth in the individual competition on the normal hill.

Later he worked as sports director of the Norwegian ski jumping team. After the poor performance of the team in the Four Hills Tournament 2002, he joined a few days after coach Ludvik Zajc back from his post. Previously Stjernen had reached the obligation of Mika Kojonkoski as a trainer for the new season, but this was kept secret until the end of the season. Later Stjernen was again, however, as sports director in conversation, could not prevail against Clas Brede Brathen itself. Today he is active as a Technical Delegate of the FIS ski jumping at competitions.

His son Andreas Stjernen is also active as a ski jumper.
