Hørsholm

Hørsholm (German Hirschholm ) is a town on the Danish island of Zealand and is located in the Capital Region. Due to the steady growth since its founding Hørsholm grew across the set in the municipal reform of 1970 Hørsholm municipality borders the municipalities and extends as well to the northern neighboring Fredensborg municipality and commune in the south to Rudersdal.

The city was built around 1730 as a Christian VI. the Hirschholm castle had converted for himself and his wife Sophie Magdalene. In 1739 the city received city rights.

In the city alive on 1 January 2013, a total 46,104 inhabitants, of which 23,971 in Hørsholm Municipality, 9767 in Fredensborg municipality and 12,366 in the municipality Rudersdal.
