Hrubá Borša
Hrubá Borša (Hungarian Nagyborsa ) is a municipality in Okres Senec within the Bratislavský kraj in Slovakia.
Geography
Hrubá Borša located in the Danube lowland between the rivers Danube and Small Čierna voda. The city Senec is situated 9 km northwest.
History
The church is first mentioned in 1244 as Borsa. The name is on the old nobleman's family Borsay, the goods had around the village, based. In the 15th and 16th centuries, the agricultural city divided into an upper, middle and lower part, and the combined again in the 19th century, the districts Stredná Borša (Hungarian Közép- Borsa ) and Malá Borša (Hungarian Kisborsa ) have yet pointed out.
Until 1918 the town was the county Pressburg in the Kingdom of Hungary, after which he joined the newly formed Czechoslovakia. Because of the First Vienna Award in 1938-45 they were again in Hungary.
