Hrvoje Šarinić

Before the first democratic elections in Croatia, Šarinić had a career in Paris, France. He possesses the citizenship of Croatia as well as France. After the elections, he joined the government to Franjo Tuđman and became the head of the private office of Tuđman.

After the parliamentary elections in 1992, he was, as a member of the Croatian Democratic Union, Prime Minister.

At this time the Croatian economy slumped further. Šarinić itself was extremely unpopular and rejected in his home Primorje in February 1993. All this and the escalation of the war in Bosnia - Herzegovina led to Šarinić was replaced by Nikica Valentić.

He remained in the limelight because of a diplomatic mission and frequent negotiations with Slobodan Milošević.

Until the late 1990s, he was gradually degraded by Tuđman 's inner circle.
