HSL Logistik
The HSL Logistik GmbH (HSL ) is a registered railway undertakings (RUs ), headquartered in Hamburg. The HSL has the operating license for the inclusion of freight and passenger transport services. The main activities of the company are concentrated on the regional and national rail freight, and in addition to transport services and construction train shunting in the Greater Hannover, Hamburg harbor, the Port of Rostock and the Port of Rotterdam. Other business segments include the training of train drivers, car technicians and shunters. In addition, industry-specific repair services are provided. The provision of services within the business segments are on the corporate network.
In addition, the HSL provides transport in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The HSL stands as the largest private rail logistics service without a state railway participation in direct competition to the road logistics, domestic container shipping, as well as to other railway companies, in particular for Deutsche Bahn as German market leader.
