The HTC Desire phones are smartphones of the manufacturer HTC with the Android operating system. The first model was released in late March 2010 on the European market.
Desire
The HTC Desire also known as HTC Bravo is a smartphone manufacturer HTC with the Android operating system. It seemed the end of March 2010 to the European market.
It features a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and the Android operating system in version 2.2. Strong external similarities to the Nexus One smartphone, which was also manufactured by HTC for Google. Unlike the Nexus One, the HTC Sense custom user interface is installed on the Desire which is already used, among other things, on the Windows Smartphone HTC HD2. Furthermore, it differs from the Nexus One through the optical trackball in its place in the Nexus One, a mechanical joystick is installed. In addition, the Nexus One features unlike the HTC Desire with an additional microphone for active noise cancellation.
The device offers a 5 - megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, a GPS receiver, a VHF radio, and an acceleration sensor and a digital compass. In the initial release phase, the HTC Desire had a capacitive multi-touch screen with OLED technology. Thanks to the update of the operating system to Android 2.2 ( Froyo), the HTC Desire is now also able to record video at a resolution of 720p.
Since late summer 2010, the unit comes with a Super LCD instead of AMOLED screen because Samsung needs the capacity for AMOLED screens for its own production. According to reviews of the now built SLCD screen is equivalent towards the previous AMOLED screen.
The 512 megabytes of internal memory can be expanded with a microSD or microSDHC card up to 32GB. With a display resolution of 480x800 pixel images, texts as well as the graphics in games in focus.
On 1 August 2011 an update was provided on Android 2.3.3 on the developer's website. This update removes any adjustments to the network provider and brings a few features of the Sense 2.1 interface with. Due to the low internal memory but the HTC apps Teeter and flashlight, as well as most wallpapers have been removed from the ROM and attached as an APK file in the zip file.

The Desire HD was released on October 18, 2010.
The AMOLED touchscreen of the first - generation Desire finds no use, as Samsung currently can not supply enough AMOLED displays (as of September 2010). When a Desire HD WVGA Super LCD is installed with a diagonal of 4.3 inches. The camera can record video in HD resolution ( 720p) and images with eight megapixels. Unlike its sister model, HTC Desire Z, Desire HD has no physical input keys and does not have a trackball.

The Desire HD was initially shipped with Android 2.2 and also with HTC Sense 2.0. In early May 2011, it was upgraded to Android 2.3.3 and Sense 2.1, it has also been published on 8 December 2011, an update to Android 2.3.5 as well as the heavily revised Sense 3.0 interface. HTC announced in February 2012, via Facebook, that the Desire HD will receive an update to Android 4.0 later this year. The HTC Desire S is in contrast to the sister models HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z is the direct successor of the first HTC Desire.
The HTC Desire S has a 1 GHz processor with 768 MB RAM. The camera with five megapixels and LED flash ensures photos and video in HD quality at 720p. Resolution and screen size are identical to the original Desire, but it has a front camera and more memory (786 MB instead of 512 MB). Also the internal memory has been increased from 512 MB to slightly more than 1 GB.

The Desire X (also known as HTC Proto ) was introduced by HTC at the 52nd IFA 2012 in Berlin and put on the market in September. It runs by default under the operating system Android 4.0.4 with Sense interface in version 4.1. An update to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean with Sense 4 has been available since the beginning of May 2013. The Desire X sorted itself into the category of middle class smartphones. With its 4 - inch screen size, it can be considered a successor to the HTC Incredible S, under the current devices from HTC, it competes most closely with the One V. As well as this has it - just like the Desire C - through came with Android 4.0 in HTC introduced scheme of the three soft keys below the screen (from left to right: Back, Home, task Manager ). The design of the Desire X draws heavily on that of the HTC -One series.
