Huai Phueng District

Amphoe Huai Phung ( Thai: อำเภอ ห้วย ผึ้ง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Kalasin. The Kalasin Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

The neighboring districts are starting clockwise from the East: the Amphoe Na Khu, Kuchinarai, Na Mon and Somdet Kalasin Province and Amphoe Phu Phan province of Sakon Nakhon.

History

Huai Phung was created initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) May 5, 1981 by the three Tambon Huai Phung Nikhom, Kham Bong Khai and from Amphoe Khao Wong Well were separated. On 21 May 1990 Huai Phung has been promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Huai Phung is in four communities ( tambon) divided which in turn consist of 52 villages ( Muban ).

There are also four small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Huai Phung ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ห้วย ผึ้ง ) consists of parts of the tambon Huai Phung Nikhom,
  • Kham Bong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล คำ บ ง ) consists of the whole tambon Kham Bong,
  • Now Khai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ไค้ นุ่น ) consists of the whole Tambon Khai Now
  • Nong But I ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง อี บุตร ) consists of the whole tambon Nong I But.

There is also a " Tambon Administrative Organization" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
