Huai Thap Than District

Amphoe Huai Thap Than ( in Thai อำเภอ ห้วยทับทัน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Si Saket. The Si Saket province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Amphoe Huai Thap Than borders the following districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Mueang to the Chan, Uthumphon Phisai and Prang Ku in the province of Si Saket, Samrong Thap and to Amphoe of Surin province.

History

Huai Thap Than was posted on January 17, 1977 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the four Tambon Huai Thap Than, Mueang Luang, Phak Mai and Kluai Kwang were separated from Amphoe Uthumphon Phisai. The administration began on February 16, with working with a temporary building within the Buddhist temple ( Wat ) Wat Phra Charangsan ( วัด ประชา รังสรรค์ ). Not until 1981 was able to move into a permanent building management. On March 20, 1986 Huai Thap Than was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Huai Thap Than is ( tambon) divided into six municipalities, which in turn in 80 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Huai Thap Than ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ห้วยทับทัน ), consisting of parts of the tambon Huai Thap Than.

In addition, there are six " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
