Huanchaco

Huanchaco is a beach town in Peru.

It is approximately 13 kilometers north-west of Trujillo. At the beach promenade there are many restaurants that are known for its fish dishes, as well as a market for handicrafts. A popular photo are the Caballitos de Totora, small reed boats, fished with them for thousands of years on the sea. Other attractions include the pier at the harbor and the church " Virgen del Perpetuo Socorro " in the Baroque style of the colonial era in the upper part.
