Huazhong University of Science and Technology

The University of Science and Technology Central China (Chinese华中 科技 大学/华中 科技 大学, Pinyin Huazhong Keji Daxue ), HUST abbreviated, is a university in Wuhan, Hubei Province. The university was founded in 1953; their facilities are spread over an area of about 467 hectares.

The University of Science and Technology Central China is one of the universities of Project 211 and Project 985 Today's University was created by a merger of the former Technical University of Central China with the Medical Tongji University and the Institute of Urban Planning Wuhan in May 2000. It maintains a partnership with the University of Wuppertal.

Currently there are eleven disciplines and over 55,000 students enrolled at the university.
