Hubert Cecil Booth
He designed and patented (only in England) in 1901, the vacuum cleaner, which was transported in the early stages of horse and buggy to better-off customers. There was sucked with long hoses dust. However, he did not have much commercial success. His former company, the Booth Vacuum Cleaner Company, produced to date (2006) industrial vacuum cleaner. As chief engineer, he was later instrumental in the construction of the Ferris wheel in the Prater.
