Hud (Prophet)

Hud (Arabic هود, DMG Hūd ) is mentioned in the same Qur'an Sura 11 Prophet ( may the prophet Eber or Heber the Bible ), which should have been sent to the ancient oriental people of ' Ad. He is mentioned in the Qur'an in Ayat 25.

Hud is, according to Islamic tradition, the first prophet after the flood, which dated back about 800 years at his mission as a prophet. He was chosen with 40 years to the people of ' Ad was the Messenger of Allah. Even one of them, he rejected the idea that the people of 'Ad was the offspring of God, now and takes the side of the legions of slaves, by the people ' were subjugated Ad. The people of 'Ad was all over Arabia as feared and was very powerful. It controlled important trade routes through brute force and thus secured their monopoly.

After countless years of preaching for the cause of Allah and the reminder to return to the true faith in the one God Hud was favored only by the position of his family, spared. Branded as a madman, he sought refuge in the woods, where he prayed to God.

His followers, he found almost without exception in the slave to which he gave hope and courage. These new " Muslim " recruits not charged against the ruling class of ' Ad, but were practicing patience and steadfastness. They built the garden of Iram of the tyrannical God King Shaddad out, wanted to leave the latter for the benefit of his people cost the earthly paradise, just by virtue of his divine nature.

According to Islamic tradition, God has dried up the once- lush garden of Iram and the fertile land denied the rain for seven years. In great concern about the future of his people King Shaddad sent ambassadors to the related Mecca to let them pray for rain. You should ask the gods on Mount Arafat to a droplet wet, so that it may go their people well again.

Three clouds of diverse backgrounds revealed to them God, and the black of them they chose, on the assumption that it was enriched with raindrops. But the cloud was filled in accordance with Islamic tradition with sweltering heat and infinitely hot, searing wind, coming from hell, waiting to invade the garden of Iram. The ambassador went with the cloud in tow back to their people, and there befell the unbelievers then the wrath of God.

Some versions, like those of Naqshbandiya, wander in too fantastic description of the circumstances underlying its people ' Ad. However, one thing remains obvious: Hud, the Prophet and Messenger of God, should be reversed, the people and their faith in the one God show - a typical message that is actually inherent in all Islamic Messenger.

Hud said to have lived for 150 years. A suspected tomb is located in the Hadhramaut (Yemen), 70 km east of Tarim ( Qabr Hud ). This ghost town is home once a year for three days 4,000 to 5,000 pilgrims. According to other traditions, his grave is to be located between the well of Zamzam and the angle of the Kaaba and in the south wall of the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus.

Although neither Hud nor the 'Ad are backed religion historically verifiable, such as the Prophet Salih, Hud, the name was adopted in Arab families. The best known example of this comes from the Spain of the Middle Ages.
