Huggler Peak

BWf1

Huggler Peak is an acute, snowy peaks in the north of the Anderson Massif in the West Antarctic Heritage Range at a height of 1580 m.

Huggler peak was mapped by the United States Geological Survey as part of the compilation of Ellsworthgebirges in the years 1961-1966 through site surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the peak for John Q. Huggler, a storekeeper of the United States Navy Reserve. This had helped during Operation Deep Freeze 1966 at various construction projects at the American McMurdo Station.
