Hugh III of Lusignan

Hugo III. of Lusignan († 1012), called " the white man " (Latin albus), was the third Lord of Lusignan and probably son of Hugh the Benevolent.

He confirmed the donation of the church of Mezeaux to the monastery of Saint- Cyprien by one of his vassals, and granted the convent the right to use the woods and the road between Lusignan and Poitiers. Presumably he was close to the count's court of Poitou, after all, occupied Duchess Emma of Blois, wife of William IV of Aquitaine, the Monastery of Saint- Maixent with a tax the income received Hugo.
