Hugh of Châteauneuf

Hugh of Grenoble ( * 1053 in Châteauneuf -sur -Isère in Valence, † April 1, 1132 in Grenoble) was a French bishop.

Hugo was a canon of the cathedral of Valence, before he was consecrated in 1080 as Bishop of Grenoble. He supported Bruno of Cologne, the founder of the Carthusian Order, however, was not itself a Carthusian. 1134 Hugo was canonized by Pope Innocent II. His feast day is April 1.

A nephew of Hugh of Grenoble was the abbot Hugo of Bonnevaux.
