Hugo Betting

Betting belonged to the squad of the first rugby team of FV Stuttgart 1893, which was merged in 1912 to VfB Stuttgart. Betting was the only player of his club, who was in 1900 part of the German team in rugby competition in the world exhibition in Paris, which was otherwise almost entirely of players of FC Frankfurt. Since the competition was officially assigned by the IOC to the program of the Olympic Summer Games in 1900, betting went down in sports history as an Olympic silver medalist.
