Hugo is a city ( with a status of "City" ) in Washington County in the south center of the U.S. state of Minnesota. In 2010, Hugo had 13,332 inhabitants.
Hugo is part of the metropolitan area of Minneapolis -Saint Paul.
Geography
Hugo is located in the north-eastern suburban area of Minneapolis and Saint Paul at 45 ° 09'08 " north latitude and 92 ° 57'48 " west longitude. The city covers 93.29 km ², spread over 86.64 km ² land and 6.65 km ² water surface.

A few kilometers west of the urban area extends Interstate 35, which is the quickest route from Saint Paul to Duluth near the border with Canada. The U.S. Highway 61 leads as the main road through the city center. All other roads within Forest Lake are minor roadways or urban roads.
