Hui Liangyu

Hui Liangyu (Chinese回良玉, Pinyin Hui Liangyu, born 1944 in Yushu, Jilin ) is a Chinese communist politician. He was from 2002 to 2012 Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China and since 2003 he is Deputy Prime Minister Member of the State Council. He is a member of the Hui Nationality.

Hui Liangyu is a professional economist and graduated from the School of Agriculture in Jilin. After working in his home province, most recently as vice governor from 1987 to 1990, he was governor from 1994 to 1999 and then secretary of the CPC Anhui and 1999-2002 Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu. In November 2012, he retired at the 18th Congress of the CPC for reasons of age from all party functions.
