Huixquilucan is a municipality in the Mexican state of México. It belongs to the Zona Metropolitana del Valle de México, the metropolitan region around Mexico City. The seat of the municipality is Huixquilucan de Degollado.

The community had in 2010 242.167 inhabitants, its surface area is 140.9 km ².

Geography

The municipality Huixquilucan located in the western part of the State of Mexico, at an altitude 2500-3500 m. It borders the Municipalities Naucalpan de Juárez, Lerma and Ocoyoacac and the Federal District, Mexico City.
