Hukou Waterfall

The Hukou Waterfall (壶口 瀑布, Hukou Pubu ) is located in the middle reaches of the Yellow River ( Huang He) between the Jixian County in Shanxi Province and Yichuan county in Shaanxi Province.

Its width varies with the change of seasons between 30 and 50 meters. The drop height reaches more than 30 meters, the flow rate achieved in the Tauzeit early April about 1,000 cubic meters per second, with the flood in the summer of 8000 cubic meters per second.

The waterfall is eponymous for the Huanghe Hukou Waterfall National Park黄河 壶口 瀑布 风景 名胜 区and the National Geopark Chinese Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River黄河 壶口 瀑布 国家 地质 公园.
