Human anti-mouse antibody

The term HAMA response is the abbreviation for Human anti-mouse antibody response. This is the reaction that the human immune system based on mouse antibody. The HAMA response intensified with increasing treatment length, so that the mouse antibodies are neutralized and the therapy is ineffective. By the development of chimeric antibodies, or humanized antibodies or the production of recombinant antibodies using phage display libraries (see, phage display ), which contains human immunoglobulin genes, should be avoided in the future, this problem.
